Legends Pet Care Services adopts Pet Sitters International Global Standards for Professional Pet-Sitting & Dog Walking Businesses
February 2, 2026- At Legends Pet Care Services, LLC, we’re proud to announce our commitment to Pet Sitters International’s newly released Global Standards for Professional Pet-Sitting and Dog-Walking Businesses. These groundbreaking standards, announced in October 2025, represent a historic milestone for our industry. As the first publicly available universal benchmark for professional pet care, they establish clear expectations for what pet parents should look for when choosing a care provider for their beloved companions.
The purpose of PSI’s Global Standards is to bring consistency, legitimacy, and accountability to an industry that has long operated without universal regulation. These standards were carefully reviewed by leaders in pet care, insurance, veterinary medicine, and animal safety, as well as a panel of pet owners. This comprehensive approach ensures the standards reflect both professional expertise and the real-world expectations of pet parents like you. By establishing baseline best practices for pet care businesses worldwide, these standards elevate the entire profession and provide a clear framework for delivering safe, ethical, and consistent care.
For our clients, PSI’s Global Standards mean enhanced peace of mind and transparency. When you choose Legends Pet Care Services, LLC, you’re selecting a service that adheres to rigorous protocols in areas including pet safety and handling, emergency preparedness, data protection, and professional ethics. We maintain current training in pet first aid and CPR, implement biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread between households, and keep up to date with the latest information about pet wellbeing. Our commitment to these standards also means we prioritize your home security, protect your confidential information, carry appropriate liability insurance, and conduct business with honesty and integrity. We set healthy professional boundaries, maintain clear communication expectations, and foster an inclusive environment built on respect and professionalism.
We believe in ensuring that we follow professional standards at all times so we are aligning with PSI’s Global Standards. Legends Pet Care Services, LLC demonstrates our dedication to excellence in every aspect of our service. These standards aren’t just guidelines—they’re our promise to you that your pet family members will receive the highest quality care in the comfort of their own home. Legends Pet Care Is Helping Our Environment

In an effort to better protect our environment, Legends Pet Care Services will now use GreenLine Poop Bags to pick up dog waste.
There are many types of poop bags- oxo-degradable, compostable, flushable. Most poop bags wind up in landfills. Landfills are sophisticated waste management systems. When bags are buried, there is no oxygen or moisture to help break down the bags even if they say they are bio-degradable. The answer?
GreenLine Biodegradable Poop Bags are made from plastic and a proprietary additive which renders the bags biodegradable anywhere, regardless of environment.
This new technology utilizes the power of microbes and bacteria which are plentiful in landfill environments. They break down the barriers in plastic that prevent natural biodegradation to occur.
Hungry microorganisms looking for food to eat consume the bag and produce natural, organic matter,
returning it to the earth.
Legends Pet Care Services will only use these bags. If you want more information or would like to purchase these bags, go HERE.
