George Lockwood – Founder and CEO
Veteran- U.S. Navy
Throughout his life and career—from proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy to leading financial institutions and eventually following his passion for animals—George Lockwood has always believed in one simple principle: treat people with kindness and respect, earn their trust, and always give more than what is expected.
After a successful career in the financial industry, George retired but soon discovered that retirement wasn’t quite for him. His lifelong love of animals, combined with a personal experience that showed him just how difficult it could be to find dependable, compassionate pet care, inspired him to begin a new chapter. That passion led to the creation of Legends Pet Care Services.
For George, caring for pets has never been just about walking dogs, filling food bowls, or checking off a list of tasks. It’s about understanding that pets are family. They bring joy, companionship, comfort, and unconditional love into our lives, and they deserve to be treated with that same love and devotion in return.
George also understands that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with a beloved pet is no small thing. It’s a responsibility he takes to heart. He believes every client deserves to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and receiving the same care and attention they would give them themselves.
Today, that personal commitment is at the heart of Legends Pet Care Services. George works to instill those same values of kindness, compassion, reliability, and exceptional service in every member of the Legends team.
To George, Legends is more than a pet care company. It’s an opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them, build lasting friendships, and give families something truly valuable—peace of mind.
And after all these years, his philosophy remains simple: Care for every pet like family, treat every client like a friend, and never forget that trust is something you earn with every visit.
The Legends Pet Care Services team is committed to providing professional, dependable, and compassionate care for every pet we serve. Our Pet Care Professionals are fully insured and bonded, certified in Pet First Aid, and thoroughly trained in all aspects of professional pet care. For the safety and peace of mind of our clients, every team member must also successfully complete comprehensive federal, state, and county background checks before providing services.
